Franklin Academy fell to Claiborne 8-4 in Homer Friday in a game called by darkness.
The Rebels scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth.

The game was called in the fifth because Claiborne has no lights.

According to MAIS rules, a game is official if it is played five innings.
It was the district opener for the Cougars.

"We gave up one earned urn," said Franklin coach Chris Sullivan. "We had a lot more mental mistakes than we had physical mistakes.
