Rain in Thibodaux leads to alterations Rain and windy conditions in Thibodaux, La. altered the schedule for the weekend baseball series between the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and the Nicholls State Colonels.
It did not however alter the Warhawks from picking up one win to add to their season totals. The three-game series was changed to a two-game double header on Sunday with the Warhawks taking Game 1 4-0 before losing the nightcap, 7-5.
ULM saw pitchers James Jones and Drew Granier combine for a shutout of the Colonels in the first game which began Friday and was suspended until Sunday due to thunderstorms. ULM was leading 3-0 in the fourth inning when play was halted Friday.
When things resumed, the ULM defense picked up right where it left off and limited NSU to zero runs. For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
