Rain in Thibodaux leads to alterations
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Rain and windy conditions in Thibodaux, La. altered the schedule for the weekend baseball series between the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and the Nicholls State Colonels.

It did not however alter the Warhawks from picking up one win to add to their season totals. The three-game series was changed to a two-game double header on Sunday with the Warhawks taking Game 1 4-0 before losing the nightcap, 7-5.

ULM saw pitchers James Jones and Drew Granier combine for a shutout of the Colonels in the first game which began Friday and was suspended until Sunday due to thunderstorms.
ULM was leading 3-0 in the fourth inning when play was halted Friday.

When things resumed, the ULM defense picked up right where it left off and limited NSU to zero runs.
