The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs split a baseball double-header with Middle Tennessee State on Sunday and now look toward a four-game road trip beginning Tuesday at Grambling State.

The Bulldogs beat the Blue Raiders in the first game of the double-header 3-2 behind solid defense and pitching.

In the second-game the Bulldog pitchers were tagged with nine runs. Starting pitcher Jeb Stefan was given the loss after allowing seven runs and five hits in the first 2.1 innings of the contest.

The Blue Raiders then added five runs to their lead on relief pitcher Kyle Roliard.
Tech would close within one run in the fifth as the first six batters reached base safely to start the inning off of Jud Stoltz. Williams capped the five-run inning with a sacrifice fly to center as Hunter Dawson struck out Ford to end the threat.
