DC Gators end successful season The Delhi Charter School Gators basketball squad ended a successful 2010-2011 campaign on a dissappointing note Friday. DCS lost in the first round of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 1A playoffs to Central Catholic, 70-32.
The Gators still have to feel successful when reminiscing about this season, the first for the Gators making the playoffs in school history.
"Making the playoffs for the first time, it gave us experience and a taste of it this year," DCS head coach Chad Clarke said. "Hopefully it will give our returning players a boost and they will work harder this summer getting ready for next season."
In their first playoff game, Clarke said it was clear that his team must develop more depth. "It all came down to depth," Clarke said. "(Central Catholic) had it and we didn't. They had 11 guys that could play with our starters."For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
