Chamber of Commerce installs new officers Louisiana Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources Scott Angelle served as guest speaker for the Winnsboro-Franklin Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet at the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro.
The event, which took place at the Family Life Center Tuesday night, included the installation of the 2011 officers for the Chamber Board of Directors.
Nathan Roberts was named the Chamber's new president, Sherry Anders Randall was named vice president and Stephen Pylant was chosen to remain treasurer.
The remaining board members for 2011 include Karl Broussard, Kay Huff, Steven Pylant, Lester Thomas Jr., Eric Day, DeLayne Donnell, Susan Easterling, Dustin Wright, Zach Johnson, Lisa Kiper, Blake Kramer, Christy Montgomery and Joel Olivo. Ex-Officio members include Kay LaFrance-Knight, and Howard Dee Smith.
Angelle, of Breaux Bridge, is the former lieutenant governor of Louisiana and serves as the point person for federal oil and gas permitting issues as Governor Jindal's Legislative Liaison. In a speech peppered with a Creole flare, Angelle urged the local business community to support Louisiana's oil and natural gas exploration.
