Mississippi native guest speaker at Black Heritage Banquet

The Twenty-third annual Black Heritage Banquet will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, in the Franklin Parish High School Cafeteria.

Keynote speaker for the evening will be Mrs. Juanita Moffett Walker, a resident of Clinton, Miss., was born and reared in rural Edward, Miss., on a small farm owned by her parents in a house without electricity or running water.

Mrs. Walker was educated in Hinds County Public Schools and graduated from Utica Agricultural High School, Utica Junior College, and Jackson State University, Jackson, Miss. She earned a Master's Degree in Personnel and Guidance from Purdue University, Hammond, Indiana.
