Signing day now over
Signing day is now behind us.
And, no, it's not an exact science.
But you won't find too many past national champions with a lot of 1-star and 2-star players.
Then again, you've got teams like Boise State, TCU and Connecticut who did just fine without a top 20 class.
Truth is, we won't know how this class will pan out until a couple of years. Some will not be able to adjust to the college life, some will get in trouble and some will have injury problems.
LSU certainly brought in a class that should keep the Tigers playing for at least an SEC title the next four years.
