Patriots win three
Thanks to a week in which the Franklin Parish High School Patriots won three straight district 3-4A games, and with one game left in the regular season, the Patriots are primed for to qualify for the Class 4A playoffs beginning next week.
The Patriots finished up their regular season slate at home against Bastrop as The Franklin Sun went to press and a win in that game would put the Patriots right where they want to be at this time.
"A win would be huge because it would keep us out of being a bottom four seed," Franklin Parish head coach Wystee Kerry said. "4A is tough this year and everybody will be a tough out, but I just did not want to be in that bottom four and go on the road against one of those top seeds. I feel good about where we are at."
