Local producers place in state contest
Wesley, Jennifer, John and Bill and Linda Moroni of Winnsboro, recently placed in the 2010 National Corn Growers' Association's (NCGA) Corn Yield Contest in Louisiana.
Wesley Moroni won first place in the No Till/Strip Till Irrigated division with Pioneer® brand hybrid P1615HR, which yielded 227 bushels per acre.
Jennifer Moroni won third place in the A No Till/Strip Till Non-Irrigated division with Pioneer® brand hybrid 33F87, which yielded 174 bushels per acre.
