Gobblers host Hunting Heritage Banquet

It was an evening to answer the call of the wild as the Macon Ridge Gobblers hosted their annual Wildlife Heritage Banquet on Feb. 5. The association of dedicated outdoorsmen and conservationist put together another successful event with a record crowd attending at River of Life Church.

The Macon Ridge Gobblers are the local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.
"We are very proud of the support shown by our community at this year's event," said Gobblers Chapter President Louis Robinson. "It was a huge success and we are already making plans to make the next one even better."

Robinson also serves as the state vice-president for the NWTF.

The family oriented event is held annually to bring awareness and promote the preservation of the hunting heritage. Through local chapters, the NWTF works to improve habitat and the quality of wildlife management.
