Cadets graduate Youth Challenge Progam

The Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge Program at Camp Minden in Minden, LA graduated 197 cadets Saturday, January 22, 2011.

The ceremony took place at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport. This graduation signifies the completion of the five and a half month residential phase of the program. Among the cadets were Franklin Parish graduates, Lanita S. Perry of Baskin; Angelina J. Denny of Gilbert and Tirayoues Butcher and Desmone T. Coleman of Winnsboro.

U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu was a guest speaker at the ceremony. Also in attendance was Chief of the National Guard Bureau, General Craig R. McKinley and Maj. General Bennett C. Landreneau, adjutant general of the LA National Guard.
