Parish natives score big in rodeo circuit

They are among the top saddle-bronc riders in the nation, but that's not all they have in common.
Cody and Heith DeMoss share the same parents, as well as the skill to stay in the saddle long enough to be champions of the rodeo circuit.

The DeMoss brothers, who grew up in Crowville and now live just miles apart in Heflin, recently finished 1-2 in Alexandria before traveling 1,100 miles to Denver, where they finished 1-2 again in the $516,675 National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.

The brothers who took home $24,136 in rodeo award money over the weekend, are now 1-2 in the world standings.
