Cougars win over Riverfield, 41-40
Mason Fenn made two free throws with no time remaining to give Franklin Academy a 41-40 win over Riverfield in Winnsboro on Jan. 25.
"That was a hard-fought game for both sides," said Franklin coach Paul Work. "That was definitely a must-win for us."
Franklin led 15-9 after one period of play and 25-19 at halftime. Riverfield cut the lead to 31-28 going into the final period.
Cedric Allen led Franklin with 22 points, while Ryan Sullivan added eight.
On Friday, Franklin defeated Union Christian 75-30.
