Williamson honored for service
Petty Officer, Second Class, Kirk Williamson was recently awarded several outstanding achievement medals while serving in Naval Intelligence as a Cryptology Technician aboard the USS Nimitz.
While stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI, Kirk was sent on an eight month deployment aboard the Nimitz. During this time he was awarded the Admiral's Medal for outstanding achievement and superior accomplishments. He was also awarded the highly esteemed Joint Service Achievement Medal.
The JSAM is presented to a member of the Armed Forces of the United States who distinguishes himself by outstanding performance of duty and a highly meritorious achievement which benefits all four branches of the military.
