He has a bus, carries a really big wrench and would like to be president of the United States.
John Davis Jr., a businessman from Grand Junction, Colo. who is running to be the Republican Party's presidential nominee in 2012, stopped by Winnsboro on Thursday to shake a few hands and ask residents for support on his Tour of America bus trip.

Davis is the founder and president of Blue Start Industries, a Colorado-based construction company, who describes his presidential platform as "pro-God, pro-life, pro-guns, pro-military and pro-doing the right things for the right reasons."

While his Web site, johndavisforpresident.org, is short on issue specifics, Davis' Contract to America displayed there shows that he believes in a balanced federal budget, Congressional term limits, upholding the Constitution, common sense leadership, less government and a boarder control policy that includes work visas with citizenship for law-abiding aliens.
