FA Cougars to face Union Christian
Franklin Academy split a pair of games from Central Academy in Grand Cane., as the Cougar boys defeated the Pioneers 65-47, while the Lady Cougars fell to the Lady Pioneers by three points.
Franklin outscored the Vikings 20-12 in the third period for a 40-33 advantage.
Cedric Allen led the Cougars with 15 points. Ryan Sullivan added 12 points, while Britt Grieme and Ethan Vick scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
"After a slow first half, we came out and played hard-nosed defense in the second half," said Franklin coach Paul Work. "We had 16 steals and blocked nine shots. It was a total team effort."
Franklin's junior varsity boys defeated Central 37-19.
