Patriots overtake Chiefs, 77-51
The Franklin Parish Patriots and Lady Patriots will be back in District 3-4A action on Friday when they travel to Bastrop to battle the Rams and Lady Rams of Bastrop High School.
The Patriots are coming off a 77-54 victory over the West Ouachita Chiefs in Winnsboro Friday night.
The Patriots' broke open a close game in the second quarter and then pulled out all of the stops to dominate in the second half.
Wilson Curtis scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Patriots. Curtis is the leader in both categories for the team.
"It was a key win for us," Franklin Parish coach Wystee Kerry said. "We needed a district win."
