FA picks up district win
Franklin Academy picked up its first district win as the Cougars defeated Union Christian 57-40 on Thursday.
"It was a matter of teamwork and playing good defense in the second half," said Franklin coach Paul Work.
Ryan Sullivan led Franklin with 15 points, while Britt Grieme added 12 and John Ross Newman 10.
Franklin led 15-14 after one period and 28-26 at halftime. The Cougars outscored Union Christian 16-6 in the third period.
Franklin fell to Riverdale 56-35 on January 11.
