|Windham receives Guice Award|
The regular meeting of the Franklin Parish School Board was anything but ordinary Tuesday as Crowville Middle School teacher Maribeth Windham received the 2010 Guice Memorial Award.
The honor is bestowed annually on an exceptional educator in Franklin Parish.
Established in memory of longtime educator Rebecca Guice and Dr. W.M. Guice, first superintendent in Franklin Parish, the award was presented by Johnny Guice on behalf of the family.
Windham teaches sixth grade at Crowville School where she is considered by Principal Terri Shirley to be a leader among leaders.
