The Franklin Parish Patriots and Lady Patriots begin district 3-4A play this week as they look to rebound back into the win column after a tough week on the court last week.

Both teams dropped games at Rayville and Alexandria last week.

On the boys side, the Patriots lost to Rayville, 67-54, and Alexandria, 86-48.

The Patriots are now preparing to go into one of the top districts in Class 4A and feel as though, despite the losses piling up, they are well prepared to make a run toward a playoff berth.

"We played a tough, non-district schedule," Franklin Parish coach Wystee Kerry said. "We felt like the kind of non-district competition we played would get us ready for district."
