New Congress should repeal Obamacare

By the time most of you read this, the 112th Congress would have convened in Washington and it won't be long before we know if the country did the right thing by giving the Republicans another shot by increasing their power in Congress.

It's not like we had much of a choice. The Democrats in Congress have been working hard during in the last two years to bankrupt this nation by transforming it into a European-style socialist oligarchy.

The Republicans, while far from perfect, seemed to be all we have to blunt them. It seemed that way, but it's not. We have ourselves. That's the lesson of 2010—a year that brought us tea party patriots that fueled the Republican resurgence.

Even with the damage done in the lame-duck Congress last month—most notably with the passing of yet another economic stimulus and ratification of the START treaty with Russia—things are looking up as the new Congress settles into Washington.

New House Speaker John Boehner has said at the top of his list is a repeal of Obamacare.

Some see this move as symbolic and distracting from more important issues, since Obama could simply veto any bill to do away with his most important, and dangerous, accomplishment of his first two years in office.
