Tigers take on Aggies Friday
The No. 11 Louisiana State University Tigers (10-2) will be battling the No. 17 Texas A&M Aggies (9-3) at 7 p.m. Friday in the 2011 Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Tex.
LSU has not played a game since a 31-23 loss at Arkansas on Nov. 27.
LSU will be facing a Aggies team that was one of the best in the Big 12 conference this season.
The Aggies began the season 3-3 but won six straight Big 12 conference games to end the year and earn a Cotton Bowl berth and a top 20 ranking.
The Aggies beat No. 8 Oklahoma, 33-19 and No. 9 Nebraska, 9-6, during that stretch as well as their first win in years over in-state rival the Texas Longhorns, 24-17.
Arkansas is a common opponent for the two teams as the Razorbacks also beat the Aggies, 24-17 in College Station on Oct. 9.
