Patriots continue road trips
The Franklin Parish Patriots and Lady Patriots will return to the basketball court on Tuesday, Jan. 4 when they continue a seven-game road swing through the state. The teams will be traveling to Rayville to take on the Rayville High School Hornets next week. The two teams will also play next Friday at Alexandria Senior High School.
Last week on the boys side, the Patriots went 1-1 with a huge road win at Class 3A powerhouse Richwood (73-69) and a setback at the 2010 3A runner-up Carroll (67-57).
Against the Rams, the Patriots continued to struggle rebounding the ball as Richwood picked up 10 offensive rebounds, according to FPHS coach Wystee Kerry.
Kerry stated that the Patriots have made rebounding a top priority in practice each day this season, but still have a long way to go.
