Gators place two on All-Star team
The Delhi Charter Gators football squad placed two players on the 2010 Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 1A All-State team announced last week.
Running back Ricci Gray and punter Kruez Frederick were selected to the team.
Gray ran for 1,853 yards and 18 touchdowns. Gray joins an elite group of running backs in the short history of DCS to earn all-state honors. Former backs Randy Julian and Brandon Hardy also were selected to the all-state squads in their senior seasons.
"He was a leader on both sides of the ball," DCS head coach Brety Raley said. "That was a big benefit for our younger kids just seeing the way he carried himself on the field and in the classroom and the weight room."
