Franklin Academy faced Tallulah and Briarfield in regular games while also competing in the Prairie View Tournament earlier this month.

Franklin's boys defeated Tallulah 54-50 to improve to 4-3.

Tallulah led 13-10 afer one period, but the Cougars outscored the Trojans 17-8 in the second period to take a 27-21 lead into halftime.

Franklin led 40-32 after three quarters.

Cedric Allen led Franklin with 12 points, followed by Ethan Vick with 11, Britt Grieme with 10 and Ryan Sullivan with nine.

"We had an off night shooting the ball, but played better on the boards and made some key free throws," said Franklin coach Paul Work.
