Drat!
Just when I thought we had the BCS over a barrel, Boise State has to do a choke against Nevada and Auburn does the unbelievable against Alabama.
Just two months ago, I asked in a column if the BCS is headed for a train wreck.
The first BCS standings had Oklahoma at the top, followed by Oregon, Boise State, Auburn, TCU, LSU, Michigan State, Alabama, Utah and Ohio State rounding out the top 10. I did say that something would happen that would have the BCS guys coming up smelling like roses again.
That something was Boise State not finishing unbeaten and Auburn coming back from a 24-0 deficit to defeat Alabama 28-27.
