Vineyard Furniture closes its doors Vineyard Furniture International has become another victim of a stagnant economy.
The Winnsboro Industrial Park plant, which assembled and distributed furniture to dealers across the United States, has shut down. The closure leaves about 30 people facing a job loss this Christmas season, said owner Ron Ashley.
Ashley said the plant once employed as many as 80 people, but he was forced to start laying people off a couple of years ago due to low orders brought about by the recession. It's with great regret that the business that he started in 1996 is no more, he said.
