Jury officers returned to posts
The Franklin Parish Police Jury voted to keep those who are serving as officers this year in their same posts in 2011 during their last regular meeting of the year on Thursday.
The vote means that Ricky Campbell will remain president, K.W. "Buddy" Parks will remain vice president and Leroy Scott will remain jury chaplain for at least another year.
It will be Campbell's fifth time to lead the jury. He served as jury president for four consecutive one-year terms from 1999 to 2003.
Campbell said improving Franklin Parish's infrastructure will top the list of priorities in 2011.
"As always, we will be working to improve roads and drainage. We intend to hard surface what road ways we can with the money we have to work with to keep the parish moving ahead," he said.
