Head Start honors grandparents
Franklin Parish Head Start students hosted a delightful Thanksgiving Program honoring some very special people in their lives: grandparents. Grandparents are becoming increasingly more involved in nurturing and raising their children.
Because we are aware of this trend, we honored our grandparents with a special celebration. The speaker for this event was Mrs. Dorothy Grimble, Education and Nutrition Coordinator for the Franklin Parish Head Start. Mrs. Grimble spoke on the subject of how to obtain optimum nutrition from the foods we eat and healthy and homemade nutritious foods we eat. Sixty grandparents listened to Mrs. Grimble's lively, informative speech.
