Zeigler, Gray leaders for DCS this season
The Delhi Charter Gators (9-4) saw their football season come to an end Friday following a 41-6 loss to the Ouachita Christian School Eagles (10-3) in Monroe.
OCS jumped out to a 20-0 first half lead which included two tipped passes that fell into OCS receivers hands for scores.
Josh Greer got the scoring started on an eight-yard scoring run for OCS. Brice Gilkin and Mark Laird then caught touchdown passes on back-to-back drives to give the Eagles the 20-point advantage.
"We didn't have an answer for them to be totally honest," Delhi Charter head coach Brett Raley said. "They are a good football team. Some of the things we were able to do in the first meeting we were not able to do this time. Their first two touchdowns came on tipped passes. It is hard to comeback against a good team like they are."
