Patriots football: 2010 in review

The year 2010 was a season of highs and a season of lows for the Franklin Parish Patriots football team. The Patriots bolted out of the starting gates like a Kentucky Derby champion and sprinted to a 5-0 start, the best record since the school board opened the doors of the consolidated Franklin Parish High School.

Head coach Barry Sebren and his staff had seemingly revitalized the entire program with a rushing attack nearing a 300 yards per game average and plenty of speed and athleticism on defense.
The Patriots beat Class 1A Delhi Charter School, 39-18, to begin the season. The Patriots over powered the Gators for 350 yards rushing. The Patriot defense also got off to a nice start by forcing five turnovers and putting the offense in good field position all night.
