FA Cotton Classic
Franklin Academy's boys defeated Riverfield and Tallulah in the Cotton Classic in Winnsboro last week.
Franklin defeated Riverfield 67-62.
The Cougars led 14-8 after the first period and 26-16 at halftime.
Cedrick Allen led Franklin with 27 points. Ethan Vick added eight.
Franklin defeated Tallulah 67-62.
The Cougars trailed Tallulah 14-12 after one period and went into the dressing room down 35-29 at halftime.
Franklin outscored Tallulah 20-6 in the third period for a 49-41 advantage.
"The third quarter was the turning point," said Franklin coach Paul Work. "We were more aggressive on the ball and didn't allow any open shots."
