Ellington to chair legislators group State Rep. Noble Ellington has been chosen as chairperson of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a national organization comprised of legislators that work to foster free market principals in state governments and build relationships with businesses.
Ellington, who has been a member of the organization since 1990, was recently elevated by the ALEC Board of Directors to the leadership position for which he will serve for one year.
"I want to continue ALEC going in the direction that it has been going. Our agenda is rooted in Jeffersonian principles of less government and helping business through lower taxes," Ellington said.
