|Kimbrough: No lawsuit against city|
There will be no lawsuit brought against Winnsboro over the death of a family pet sent away early to be euthanized by the city's director of animal affairs, according to the family.
Kim Kimbrough, who in September threatened to file suit against the city over the death of her dog, a Ladner Blackmouth Cur named Patrick, now says a suit would be counterproductive.
"There is no point in filing just as long as the town is trying to communicate with us and help. Doing that would only close doors again," Kimbrough said. "We never wanted money for this, that won't make me feel like I am doing the right thing."
Kimbrough was given time to speak during the Winnsboro City Council's regular meeting on Monday and took the opportunity to "brag on the city a little."
