Mangham High finished its season with a 35-28 win over Lake Providence, earning the No. 25 spot in the Class 2A playoffs.

"It was kind of a wild shootout like we knew it would be," said Mangham coach Tommy Tharp.

The Dragons led the Panthers 35-14 at halftime.

Neal Jones, Shaquille Ausberry and Seth Parker scored for the Dragons.
Riverside finished the season at 8-2, losing only to John Curtis and St. Charles.

"The main thing is getting into the playoffs," Tharp said. "We were hoping not to draw a private school powerhouse, but that's what we did. They're big, strong and fast and have about 75 players.

They may not be on the same level as John Curtis or Evangel, but they are not far behind them."
