Gators bite Tigers, 47-20
The Delhi Charter School Gators (6-3, 3-1 in district 2-1A) will be hosting their cross-town rivals, the Delhi Bears (4-4, 1-3) on friday night at "The Swamp".
DCS is coming off a 47-20 victory over the Oak Grove Tigers last week. The win was one of the biggest of the year for the Gators and it put the team in a position to take second-place outright and secure a first-round Class 1A playoff home game with a win over Delhi.
"It was a big win for us (over Oak Grove," DCS head coach Brett Raley said. "The kids stepped up and played real well."
Running back Ricci Gray had another solid night for the Gators. Gray ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns, eclipsing the 200-yard mark for the second consecutive week.
Will Ziegler added 28 yards and two touchdowns rushing as well as 224 yards and three touchdowns on 5-of-7 passing.
