Scores improve at parish schools School performance scores have improved across the state and parish schools have been part of that trend, according to officials.
In a report issued by the Louisiana Department of Education, all public schools in Franklin Parish improved their performance scores for the 2009-2010 school year. Winnsboro Elementary received an SPS of 70.9; Fort Necessity Junior High School, 74.2; Baskin School, 78.7; Gilbert School, 88.8; and Crowville Middle School, 87.8.
In a letter from State Superintendent Paul Pastorek, Franklin Parish schools were recognized for academic growth.
