The Franklin Parish Patriots (5-3, 0-3 in district 3-4A) will be back in action for a rare Thursday night home game this week against the West Ouachita Chiefs.

FPHS head coach Barry Sebren announced the change this weekend. Sebren stated that with fall break coming up to Franklin Parish schools on Friday and the following Monday, the move was the right thing to do.

The Patriots are coming off their third consecutive district loss last week when they were downed by the Neville Tigers, 41-12.

Neville quarterback John Diarse ran for 79 yards and three touchdowns and also passed for 25 yards in the contest. Running back Charles Jones led the Neville rushing attack with 125 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

Ken Hoard was the leading rusher for the Patriots with 43 yards and a touchdown on four carries.
