Six Lady Cougars named All-District
District 7-A Champion, Franklin Academy, placed six players on the 7-A All District team for the 2010 fast pitch softball season. Seniors Ariel Gill, Autumn Acre, and Amber Trisler were repeat choices from the 2009 all-district team.
These Lady Cougars led the Franklin to its fifth consecutive district title with a record of 25 wins and 9 losses. Gill how hit .333 for the season was chosen as the top third basemen in the district. Trisler who batted .330 for the season played an outstanding center field for the Lady Cougars. Acree finished with a .327 average for the season and earned the most wins of any pitcher in the district with a record of 10 wins and only 2 losses.
