City's Web site gets overhaul The city of Winnsboro's Web site has undergone an overhaul, with upgraded features and a bigger price tag.
While kinks in the new system are still being ironed out, those who log on to www.winnsborola.org should now be able — or should soon be able — to do things like watch city council meetings online and view pictures of city workers and officials with detailed information.
There is also a heftier price for the Web site. The Web site previously cost the city about $25 per-month and an additional $25 to add any information. The upgraded Web site, ran by Winnsboro-based 318 Productions, carried a $3,500 start-up fee and has a $250 monthly maintenance fee.
The upgrade is worth the higher price, said Mayor Jackie Johnson, and it will help promote Winnsboro.
"It costs more because it does more," Johnson said. "I would like to sell Winnsboro to the nation." .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Franklin Sun's NEW E-Edition! |
