Story Archives: Parish students honored by school board
|Parish students honored by school board|
School officials across the parish have made great strides toward improving the quality of education for students at every school.
Students in the fourth and eighth grades were recognized during the monthly meeting of the Franklin Parish School Board for exemplary scores on the standardized Leap test administered during the 2009-2010 school year. High school students were recognized for Advanced scores on the Graduation Exit Exam (GEE).
Students can receive five possible achievement levels for the Leap and Gee exams: Unsatisfactory, Approaching Basic, Basic, Mastery and Advanced. Advanced is the highest level of achievement on the standardized tests.
DeLayne Donnell introduced each honoree and board president Eddie Ray Bryan presented each with a plaque.
