The Friday night lights will burn a little brighter in Patriot Stadium very soon, according to school officials.

Members of the Franklin Parish School Board approved a bid for $146,000 from Tech Line Sports of Austin, Texas to replace the poles and stadium lights at the high school.

Superintendent Lanny Johnson said the work could begin approximately one week after the board approves the bid and the work would take about seven days to complete.

Due to the timing of the fall break, classes will meet on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4. All students will report to school for their regular schedule of classes.
