Franklin Youth Football kicks off season
The Franklin Youth football league kicked off their first series of games last week in Franklin Parish.
More than 1,000 participants, including players, parents, grandparents and other spectators turned out to support the league. Below is the play-by-play game action of both tag and tackle teams in the league.

The Baskin Rams flag team started their new season like they finished their last, with a win. The defending flag champs ran away with the game behind the leadership of TuTu Pleasant's two touchdowns. Shon Chrisman and Mika "Duke" Harron each ran for a score and Luke Curtis added a point after conversion to round out the scores for the Rams.
