FA Lady Cougars capture playoff spot
The Lady Cougars of Franklin Academy rolled to three district victories this past week by routing their opponent by a combined score of 28 to 2.
Franklin began the week with a 10 to 0 win over Riverdale Academy of Coushatta. Autumn Acree picked up the win tossing seven complete innings while allowing only one hit, Kaitlyn Evans, Lindy Carroll and Acree paced the offense for Franklin with two hits each.
Franklin's second win of the week was a 10 to 1 victory over Claiborne Academy of Homer. Sarah Roberts had a triple and a single to knock in four runs to spur the attack for the Lady Cougars.
