Defense key to victory for Patriots
The Franklin Parish Patriots (3-0) got defensive to earn their third consecutive victory and go 3-0 for the first time under head coach Barry Sebren.
The win total matches the win total by the Patriots a year ago. The latest victory was a 43-14 triumph over Lake Providence on the road. Now the Patriots host Oak Grove this week.
The Panthers took the opening kickoff and took up almost the entire first quarter of play as they methodically drove inside the Patriot two-yard line. The Patriot defense held firm on four straight plays to keep Lake Providence off of the scoreboard.
