FA Cougars upset Veritas, 54-42
Franklin Academy picked up its first win of the season, upsetting No. 2 Veritas 54-42 Friday in Ridgeland, Ms.
"They tried to shut down our inside game and we were able to get on the outside and passed the ball pretty well," said Franklin coach Doyle Hassell. "We are certainly excited to get the win."
Cougar quarterback Christopher Hassell attempted only eight passes, but completed five, including three for touchdowns. He also has touchdown runs of 33 and 1 yard, ran in a conversion and passed to Kalin Howington on another conversion.
