Ernest Bingham Jr.
Funeral services for Ernest Bingham Jr., 64, of Wisner were held Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial followed at Hope Estate under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Mr. Bingham died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, in Kansas City, Mo.
Survivors include a brother, Eugene Bingham, Wisner; and a host of other relatives.
Pallbearers were Eric Bingham, Marquis Bingham, Phil Brass, Damar Bingham, Andrew Bingham, Robert Bingham.

Louise Martin Cooke
Funeral services for Louise Martin Cooke, 75, of Gilbert, were held at Calvary Baptist Church on Friday, August 20, 2010, with Rev. Bobby Ensminger and Rev. Tommy Patton officiating. Burial followed at South Central Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Cooke was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Prescott, Ark., and passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 at her residence in Gilbert. She had formerly lived in Bossier City. She was a retired secretary from Seagull Operating Co. of Shreveport and Moffitt Automotive of Bossier City. She was a member of the Cypress Baptist Church of Benton, La., and a member of the Auditorium Sunday School Class. Louise was an avid quilter. She was one of the founders and a past president of Red River Quilters and a founder of the satellite group Nimble Thimbles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Martin; mother, Blanche E. (Dewoody) Martin; husband, Roy Cooke, Jr.; brother-in-law, William Floyd Cooke; mother-in-law, Lona Pittman Cooke; father-in-law, Roy S. Cooke.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Ezell and husband Wesley of Gilbert; three grandchildren: Brittany Ezell Berry and husband Samuel of Wisner; Connie Ezell Childers of Charlotte, Tenn.; Wesley Ezell Jr. of Charlotte, Tenn.; great-grandchildren: Zachary Childers and wife Lisa, and Dustin Childers; Brooke, Hunter, and Casey Ezell; great-great-grandchild, Jaylen Rae Ezell; special cousin, Charlotte D. Woody of Prescott, Ark.; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Parish and husband Pete of Wilmington, NC, Diane Herring and husband Bobby of Clarkton, NC; brother-in-law, Gary Cooke and wife Pamela of Greenville, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews. Also special friends: Betty Brocato, Thelma Thompson, Morgan Freeman, and Zola Mathis.
Pallbearers were Mike Stephens, Ray Sledge, Morgan Freeman, Samuel Berry, David Thompson, and Ronnie Cook.

Landon Bailey Foster
Graveside service for Landon Bailey Foster was held Friday, August 20, 2010, at Coax Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Landon was born on August 17, 2010 and died on August 18, 2010 at Louisiana State University Health Care Systems Monroe.
He is peceded in by death by great-great-grandmother Helen Wyles, great-great-grandfather John Coston, great-grandmother Diane Foster.
He is the infant son of Helen Amanda Foster; also survived by grandparents Monica Ann Peebles, Mr. and Mrs. James Bryant Foster; great-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Duhamel Jr, Don Foster, Buddie and Gwen Peebles; great-great-grandparents Marverette Welch, Thelma Day, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Duhamel Sr.: aunts Abigail Foster and Chelsea Clark, also a host of great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

Major M.D. Lord (RET)
Funeral services for Major M.D. Lord (RET), 85, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Lone Cedar Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Major Lord, a native of Franklin Parish, was born on Nov. 11, 1924 and died on Aug. 20, 2010, at The Palace Garden, Homestead, Fla., after an extended illness. He was a retired pilot with the U.S. Army.
Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home on Friday, after 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., and on Saturday at the church after 9 a.m. until service time.

Mary Linda Pearson
Funeral services for Mary Linda Pearson, 61, of Baskin were held Monday at Jigger Apostolic Church with the Revs. Herbie Hitt and Johnny Carrol Berry officiating. Burial followed at Jigger Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pearson, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at her residence.
Survivors include her children: Melinda Marie and Bobby Yates; Melissa Michele and Glenn Oser Jr.; Terry Pearson and Cindy; Kenneth Pearson; Jessie and Debra Baltikowski; sisters: Susan and James McDaniel; Wanda and Ronald Beach; Bonnie and Danny Goodman; brothers: Roger and Sue Humphrey; Donnie and Diane Franks; Roy Franks; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Eric Brewer, Chris Colvin, Chad Phillips, James Quimbley, Edward Talbert and Bobby Yates.
Honorary pallbearers were B.J. Davis and Eddie Hutson.

Aaron A. Posey
Funeral services for Aaron A. Posey, 63, of Winnsboro, were held at Beouf River Baptist Church on Saturday, August 21, 2010, with Rev. Curtis Smith and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Burial followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Posey was born June 24, 1947 in Winnsboro, and passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010. He was a resident of Winnsboro and owner of Posey's Air Conditioning. He was a very active member of Beouf River Baptist Church. He was a cattleman. He also loved hunting and fishing and working with wood, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He served his country in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Posey, Sr.; brother, Floyd Ray Posey, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Blanche (Beasley) Posey of Winnsboro; wife, Ruby (Byrd) Posey of Winnsboro; daughter, Leanne Bass and husband Kevin of Winnsboro; twp sons: Bubba Smith and wife Shannon of Liddieville; Gary Dean Glass and wife Tammy of Georgiana, Ala.; two brothers: Danny Posey and wife Janice of Winnsboro, Bobby Posey and wife Peggy of Kimberling City, MO; sister, Jeannie McCarthy and husband Bruce of Winnsboro; special niece-Tammy Jordan; special nephew-Chris McCarthy; nine granchildren and one great-granchild and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Wayne Boyd, Ben Price, Gerald Gilmore, Howard Townsend, Barry Chapple, and Skipper Stinson.
Honorary Pallbearers were Deacons of the Beouf River Baptist Church.

Spencer R. Williams
Funeral services for Spencer R. Williams, 87, of St. Joseph were held Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Mt. Herridon Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Franklin Medical Center. He was a farmer and a U.S. veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Williams; sons: Austin Gilbert, Frank Williams, Julius Gilbert, Stanley Gilbert, Charles Williams, Burndell Williams, Spencer Williams Jr.; daughters: Allison Mustiful, Claudia Stewart, Sue Ellis Love, Mary Louise Williams, Patricia Ann Spinney; 12 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Pallbearers were Alex Williams, Clay Williams, Michael Williams, Lenard Williams, Clarence Williams, Cedric Williams.
