Ford-Johnson wedding
Ashley Ford of Delhi and Max Johnson of Wisner were united in marriage at half past two o'clock in the afternoon on July 10, 2010, at Dunn Baptist Church in Delhi. Rev. Bernard Duchesne and Jessie Nielsen officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Leigh Ford provided nuptial music for the ceremony.
Parents of couple are Annette and David Ford of Delhi and Anita and Russell Johnson of Wisner. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Lewis of Enterprise, Mrs. Adelia Ford of Delhi and the late Billy J Ford.
Grandparents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dampier and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Johnson.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She chose an elegant floor length, A-line satin bridal gown. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and corset bodice. It was covered with embellished antique lace and finished off with a scalloped hemline. An elegant rhinestone and pearl tiara with a finger-tip sequined veil was chosen by the bride.
She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, blue hydrangea and yellow roses, hand-tied with lace from her mother's wedding dress and adorned with a rhinestone pin that was given to her by her grandmother. This served as both something old and something new.
Kendra Ellis of Delhi was maid of honor. Jennifer Dunn of Delhi and Taylor Herrington of Delhi were bridesmaids. The horizon blue bridesmaids dresses were floor-length chiffon halter style with a gathered waist and cascade on the side.
Jaycee Dunn of Delhi served as flower girl. Jaycee wore a satin spaghetti strap floor length dress with a horizon blue sash tied around her waist.
Jim Grant of West Monroe served as best man. Chris Williams of Wisner and Trevor Rogers of Enterprise served as groomsman. Serving as ushers and candle lighters were Trevor Rogers and Caleb Wilder of Delhi.
A reception honoring the couple followed the ceremony in the reception hall of the church. Kaitlyn Boles and Raylee Boles of Rayville passed out bubbles to the guests at the reception.
The bride is a homeschool graduate and currently attends Louisiana Technical College in Winnsboro. She is employed by Richland Parish Hospital.
The groom is a graduate of Winnsboro High School and Louisiana Technical College. He is employed as an IT officer at Franklin State Bank in Winnsboro.
Following their honeymoon trip to Lake Fork, Texas, the couple will make their home in Wisner. |
