Patsy M. Ballance
Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy M. Ballance, 82, of Winnsboro, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery, under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010, from 5-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Gill's.
Mrs. Ballance died Monday, July 5, 2010 at her residence.

Ouida Marjorie Dozier
Funeral services for Ouida Marjorie Dozier, 87, of Crowville, were held at First Baptist Church, Crowville on Saturday, July 3, 2010, with Rev. Keith Dowden officiating. Burial followed at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Dozier was born December 1, 1922 in Louisiana and passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Crowville, a Registered Nurse, and a member of the First Baptist Church, Crowville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Dozier; father, Ollie Caldwell; mother, Margrette (Killian) Caldwell; son, James Kenneth Dozier.
Survivors include her son, Dean Dozier and wife Denise of Derwood, MA; sister, Elliose Scott of Winnsboro; daughter-in-law, Melissa Dozier of Calif.; four grandchildren: Lauren Dozier, Casey Dozier, Scott Dozier, and Wendy Dozier; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers were Deacons of First Baptist Church, Crowville.

James Nolan Fowler
Funeral services for James Nolan Fowler, 72, of Winnsboro, will be held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Bishop Michael Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Fowler was born July 24, 1937 in Winnsboro, and passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was a resident of Winnsboro. He worked in the oil fields of South Louisiana as an operator, a certified welder, a commercial fisherman, and a farmer. He served in the US Marines.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Herman Fowler, mother, Eva (Johnson) Fowler; wife, Patricia "Patsy" (Willis) Fowler; sister, Erma Fowler.
Survivors include his son, James T. Fowler and wife Mary of Houma, La.; daughter, Eva Marie Perlander and husband John of Jesuit Bend, La.; two brothers: John W. Fowler of Winnsboro, and Douglas Fowler and wife Joann of Bossier City, La.; sister, Hilda St. Pierre of Tyler, Texas; four granddaughters: Melissa Martin and husband Doug of Bastrop, Michelle Brooks and husband Louis of Echo, La., Maryna Fowler and Patricia Fowler, both of Houma; three grandsons: Jason Serigny and wife Cheradie of Buras, La., Noah Serigny and wife Jamie of San Diego, Calif.; Shaun Fowler and wife Tammy of Dennam Springs, La.; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Serigny, Noah Serigny, Louis Brooks, Justin Brooks, James T. Fowler, and Stacy Fowler.
The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010.

Huey Johnson
Funeral services for Huey Johnson, 72, of Crowville, were held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Crockett Point Baptist Church with Terry "T-Buck" Lightsey, Bob Temple, and Rev. Paul Perry officiating. Burial followed at Lamar Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson was born on June 28, 1938 in Crowville, and passed from this life on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Plantation Manor Nursing Center Winnsboro.
He was a caring and compassionate man who showed these qualities through the life he lived. He was active in helping others through missions which included: carrying food, clothing and toys to the Appalachian Mountaina residents of North Carolina, the David Wilkerson Ministries, The Upper Room Ministries and 4-Courners Ministries in New Mexico to the American Indians. He is preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Rea Arnold Johnson Sr., brother: Clarence Johnson Jr., and nephews: Keith Newton.
Mr. Johnson is survived by by his wife of 50 years, Pat Johnson of Crowville; daughter: LeeAnn Chapman and husband Daren of Crowville; son: Huey "Dobber" Johnson and wife Alxeis of Biloxi, Miss.; grandchildren: Zachary Johnson and wife April, Caleb Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Adrienne Stroud and husband Joey, Lydia Gallagher and husband Jarred, and Laura Jo Chapman; great grandchildren: Mark and Luke Stroud, Avery, Anna and Declan Johnson; one sister: Hilda Newton and husband Lester of Crowville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Ken Free, Tommy Hale, Perry Parker, Walter Purvis, Glen Ray Smith, Don Smith, Buster Williamson and Nolan Comeaux.

Glena Jordan
Funeral services for Glena Jordan, 77, of Winnsboro, were held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, June 28, 2010, with Rev. Hurby Hitt and Rev. Dewayne Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Jigger Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Jordan was born March 23, 1933 in Jigger, La. and passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at her residence in Jigger. She was a retired Fort Necessity School cafeteria manager. She found much enjoyment in her candlemaking business, Glena's Candles.
She was preceded in death by: father, Roy Cupp, mother, Marie (Rush) Cupp; three brothers: Cloyce Cupp, Raymond Cupp, and Merlin Cupp; two sisters: Pauline Sisk and Louise McKinney.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Jordan of Jigger; two sons: Mike Jordan of Winnsboro, and Jackie Jordan and wife Janice of Liddiville; four daughters: Shirley Graves and husband Shelby of Wisner, Donna Roark of Chase, Kay Erskin and husband Joey of Dickson, Tenn., and Julie Jordan of Monroe; brother, Marvin Cupp of Kilgore, Texas; two sisters: Roberta Housden and husband Jimmy of Kilgore, Texas; and Velda Hudson of Carlsbad, NM; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers were Cam Hitt, Coy Hitt, Danny Wayne Posey, Doug Foy, Rodney Jordan, and Byron Jordan. Honorary pallbearer was Wayne Smith.

Raymond Marion Stephens
Graveside services for Raymond Marion Stephens, 89, of Emory, Texas were held June 18, 2010 at MemoryLand Cemetery in Greenville, Texas.
Mr. Stephens was born March 26, 1921 and died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory.
Mr. Stephens was a pipeline welder for McDermott for 55 years until he retired in 1995. He also welded aircraft while serving his country in Burma, India from Sept. of 1942 to Jan. of 1946, as a member of the United States Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Francis Clancy Stephens; sisters: Ellon Stephens, Dorothy Stephens; brothers: Clifford Overby, J.D. Stephens and Andy Stephens.
Survivors include his sisters: Adelle Luhn, Marcelle Hise; brothers: A.J. Stephens, Eddie Stephens; daughters: Pamela Holdman, LuAnn Ashley; and grandchildren: Ben Holdman, Krystal Holdman and Dalton Ashley.
