Franklin Parish to host state tournaments

On July 10 to 15, Franklin Parish will host the Dixie Pre-Majors (ages 15 to 16) and Majors (ages 17 to 19) State Tournaments.

The pre-majors will be played at Dickey Field and the majors will be played at Roger Leonard Field at Franklin Parish High School.

Teams from Ponchatoula, Tensas Parish, Bastrop, Vidalia, Monroe, Bossier, Independence, Moss Buff Bayou will participate in the events.

Franklin Parish teams will also be competing for the chance to become Louisiana state champions.

There will be a total of 21 teams participating in the tournaments.
